Key Account Manager

Within this challenging role you are responsible to develop distribution and sales within specialty retail outlets as well as key accounts across the Nordics. Secure high-quality selective distribution in accordance with Stokke’s distribution strategy. Develop sales with retailers through merchandising, product training, sales training, and excellent key account management. You should have a sound business acumen while also enjoying the operational pulse each day brings. You are used to maintaining perspective and balance of short- and long-term objectives. In addition, it is beneficial if you are digitally savvy and we believe you possess an international mindset. 

The position will be home office based. Ideally you are located in the southwestern part of Sweden, e.g Göteborg, Jönköping or Skåne. 

Main job responsibilities

  • Development of distribution strategies as for all relevant sales channels (stores, online)
  • Development of a yearly Joint-Business-Plan with focus on proper execution (presentation & sell in of Stokke products and news, planning and spending of Marketing Budget etc)
  • Regular business-update-meetings at HQ (2-3x per SC)
  • Observation of business development (turnover, distribution, etc) incl. initiatives and actions to be taken for steering the key account
  • Regular update-meetings with regional Marketing Manager and ASD/ASM
  • Obtaining sales-out data and reporting it accordingly
  • Analyzing merit reports and salesforce KPIs to steer the KA according to agreed strategy
  • KAM requires +2 Home Office days per week 

Experience required:

  • +3-5 years of key account management experience
  • Experience with developing distribution and sales for branded goods with excellent results (as perceived by management and customers)
  • Experience with motivating and training retail sales personnel and implementing company strategies in retail environments
  • Ideally experience of selective distribution policies of exclusive/up-market products/brands
  • Commercial education, but no specific specialization required
  • Fluent in Swedish and English
  • Flexible and mobile. Hard working and dedicated
  • A private situation which allows traveling / staying away and occasional weekend work at consumer shows (approx. 3-4 weekends per year)
  • Valid driving license
