We are currently looking for a Learning & Development Manager, who is accountable for designing and delivering the global training & development strategy with the aim of driving the ambitious growth plans and corporate strategic agenda, as well as working across the business with leadership to identify both current and future capabilities, core competence and initiatives to support productivity of the organization's employees. In addition is overall responsible for talent management and working closing with senior leaders and HR Business Partners in succession planning.


Some of the key responsibilities are the following:

  • Responsibility for the Learning and Development strategy, ensuring that it is aligned to the business and talent strategy
  • Supporting the organization to develop our core capabilities for the future, designing and delivering the programmes that supports the delivering of these capabilities (Digital, Innovation, Marketing, Commercial)
  • Create innovative learning experiences that fit for our culture and audience combining face to face and digital experiences
  • Embed Stokkes culture and values into the learning interventions that are designed and delivered
  • Leading the design and delivery of talent programmes at all leadership levels by developing and implementing a framework to support leadership development and accelerating the development of high potential leaders in our talent pipeline
  • Leading and inspiring a team of L&D professionals ensuring that they are seen as a Centre of Excellence for the organization
  • Work with business managers and HRBPs to develop succession plans, development paths, training and retention initiatives.
  • Development of an annual training calendar
  • Team of 4 including: two sales trainers, sales development manager & training content specialist
  • Extensive travel, 4 days per week to be expected



  • Significant and broad experience within Learning and Development and strategic leadership in similar small / medium sized, fast paced organization
  • Demonstrated performance of people development across the value chain encompassing a broad range of learning programmes
  • Experience of developing a range of interventions (classroom, coaching, virtual, online, blended, etc) and delivering learning through technology will be important
  • Particularly experience in design and implementation of leadership programmes alongside core skills development
  • Commercially focused, you will have a proven track record of managing a learning function with a clear focus on ROI
  • An inspiring leader, managing a small team, you will be highly motivated, innovative and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Partnering across the business, the role requires exceptional communication and influencing skills engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders
