We are currently looking to hire an HR Business Partner for the Nordics region, ideally based in Alesund.

This Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for the HR and people agenda in Nordics and will be collaborating with managers and local teams to plan, organize and implement Human Resources initiatives and people agendas to support the business strategy and growth objectives.  

This role works hands-on providing Human Resources expertise in the areas of employee relations, organizational development and more. This is a true generalist role that will work closely with local managers on people related issues. You will be instrumental in initiating and driving HR programs and initiatives across the region.

These are the main job responsibilities :

  • ​​​​​​​Partner with managers and business leaders on full range of HR activities during the employee life cycle, such as recruitment, compensation & benefits, performance management, training & development, employee relations and change management  
  • Provide consultation and support on employee relations issues and applicable company policies and employment laws  
  • Partner with managers to find opportunities to attract, develop and retain people to achieve their fullest potential  
  • Collaborate with Global HR in designing and implementing HR projects and initiatives  
  • Leading the communication and rollout of HR programs and projects within assigned markets and beyond 
  • Manage HR Metrics and budgets across all retail locations (employee turnover, employee engagement, overtime costs, etc.)  
  • Ensure efficient HR Administration for the Nordics, particularly Norway 

These are the requirements:

  • ​​​​​​​Bachelors degree in Human Resources or a related field 
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as HR Business Partner within an international company, preferably in the retail industry  
  • Proven knowledge of all core HR processes  
  • Must have experience working with Norwegian employment legislation and organised employee bodies (Unions and AMU, etc.) 
  • General knowledge of principles, methods, and practices related to payroll activities on local markets  
  • General knowledge of employment laws and regulations regarding employment practices on local markets  
  • English proficiency (written and verbal)  
  • Norwegian is a must (written and verbal)  
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint  
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written)  
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills  
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to a variety of stakeholders on all organizational levels  
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task and exercise independent judgement 
  • Ability to engage, inspire, and influence people  
  • Ability to effectively work with ambiguity and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment  
  • Action and detail oriented with a drive for results
