The financial controller has the primary responsibility for the planning, implementing, managing, and running of all finance activities for US.CA, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting and negotiations. The financial controller will in co-operation with global finance and local management work on analysis, strategic guidance and recommendations to identify opportunities and potential risks for the business.


Main job responsibilities

  • Prepare and present monthly financial reports including monthly P&L by division and forecast vs budget by division in a timely manner – 5-6 day close
  • Review and analyze monthly financial results and provide recommendations
  • Develop and maintain monthly operation budget and annual company operating budget
  • Manage and motivate the accounting team (currently just one)
  • Ensure application of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reporting data for Group Finance
  • Responsible for managing working capital through negotiating trade terms with both customers and vendors while reducing inventory levels
  • Maintain all banking and local US.CA attorney relationships as well as with many more stakeholders and external auditors
  • Work with Global HR to develop strategic HR plans and policies (recruitment, training, compensation, benefits, bonus payrolls, etc)
  • Assist/Advise local management in all HR-related issues including hiring and terminations and the performance review process



  • Bachelor’s/Masters Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 5-10 years working in Finance and Controlling roles in multinational companies
  • Familiar with all financial control aspects
  • Experience in financial optimization programs – P&L and BS
  • Strong accounting skills
  • Hands On’ ERP Systems Experience and preferably experience with Infor M3 system
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence and executive presence – ability to motivate staff
