Pursue Excellence, The Team:
Based in Amsterdam, the Global Demand Planner role operates with a global scope, focusing on collecting, maintaining, and acting on demand forecasts. The position requires close collaboration with regional sales, the Global Supply Planning team, and Finance to ensure seamless demand planning processes. By leveraging data-driven insights and advanced tools, the team strives to deliver precise forecasts and actionable strategies that drive business success.
Take Responsibility, The Position:
- Serve as the key user of the global planning tool Relex for demand forecasting.
- Chair the monthly Demand Management meetings.
- Act as a sub-owner of the global demand forecast, ensuring its accuracy and relevance.
- Collaborate closely with the global supply planning team based in Ålesund to align demand and supply strategies.
- Maintain regular interactions with all regional sales offices to ensure the quality and reliability of demand forecasts.
- Partner with Business and Product Managers to identify extraordinary demand drivers, such as promotions, campaigns, product launches, and phase-outs.
- Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing demand forecast accuracy.
- Track and analyze demand forecast accuracy across regions.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of service-level classifications and safety stock strategies.
Better Together, The Ideal Profile:
- Holds a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Engineering, or Business Development.
- Possesses 5-8 years of experience in global planning functions, Finance, or Supply Chain.
- Demonstrates strong Excel skills and proficiency in planning systems; experience with Power BI and S&OP is advantageous.
- Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Has a strong business understanding, ideally within the consumer goods industry.
- Displays excellent organizational skills in strategy formulation, communication at all levels, and execution.
- Exhibits a deep understanding of global demand dynamics, particularly in consumer goods.
- Capable of working cross-functionally in a global environment, influencing and challenging stakeholders effectively.
- Possesses strong leadership skills to drive collaboration and inspire the team.
