Pursue Excellence, The Team:

The sales team in France for Stokke is essential for expanding market presence, managing customer relationships, and promoting the brand. They develop sales and distribution channels, train retail staff, and implement marketing initiatives. The team coordinates with customer service to ensure high satisfaction, gathers market intelligence for strategic decisions, and maintains selective distribution policies. They use tools like SalesForce for reporting and performance tracking, contributing to Stokke's global strategy and ensuring operational efficiency to support the brand's promise.

Take Responsibility: The Position: Account Manager - France - Paris 

Achieve company sales targets through the development of the existing retailer base and new business opportunities in line with company strategy, in close coordination with the Area Sales Manager France.

Main Job Responsibilities

Sales Development:

Achieve company sales targets by developing an existing retailer database and identifying new business opportunities in line with a selective distribution strategy.

Develop sales through independent retailers, National Accounts, and branch visits.

Selling new products, promotions, and campaigns.

Strategic joint business planning with Key and Focus Accounts.

Retailer Training:

Train retailer sales staff in product demonstration, merchandising, and selling skills.

Maintain enthusiasm and dedication from retailer sales teams.

Merchandising:

Maintain and improve existing displays according to company merchandising standards.

Assist with the installation of new merchandising solutions.

Reporting:

Daily reporting and planning within a CRM system.

Regular updates to the Area Sales Manager regarding market development, opportunities, and challenges.

Travel:

Weekly travel within a designated geographical area to meet buyers, store owners/managers, and conduct training sessions.

Allocate four days per week to customer visits, including overnight stays, ensuring all accounts in the portfolio are regularly visited.

One day per week dedicated to administrative work from home.

Plan and organize economical and cost-effective journey plans, including accommodations.

Occasional weekend and evening work to attend consumer baby shows, company conferences, and retailer events.

Consumer Shows:

Demonstrate the product range to consumers at French Baby Shows from the company’s stand.

Manage retailer attendance to maximize sales opportunities.

Implement the company’s vision, philosophy, and strategies with flexibility, dedication, and mobility.

 

Better Together: The Ideal Profile: Paris based profile 

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Account Manager who thrives in a fast-paced sales environment. The ideal candidate has a passion for sales, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with retailers. A proactive and self-motivated attitude, coupled with a keen eye for visual merchandising and training, is essential. The role requires adaptability, resilience, and a drive to achieve business goals while embodying the company’s values of excellence, responsibility, and teamwork.

Education Required:
Education to Higher Degree Level. Business School, Master’s Degree.
A commercial education is typically required, ideally with a specialization in sales and/or account management.

Experience Required:
Experience in developing distribution and sales of branded goods with excellent results. Experience in motivating and training retail sales personnel and implementing company strategies in retail environments is expected. Ideally, but not necessarily, this experience should be gained with exclusive/premium brands in a selective distribution setup.
Experience in competitive sales environments and working with both small independent retailers and sophisticated multiple retailers would be a strong asset.

Special Requirements:

Must be able to handle/lead negotiations with large multi-store retailers, National Accounts, and ensure implementation of joint business plans/initiatives

Strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English

PC proficiency, especially within Microsoft Office programs.

Good understanding of general IT systems and hardware (smartphones, tablets, and basic troubleshooting).

Hardworking and dedicated.

The position involves regular travel, with overnight stays required (minimum of two nights per week). Occasional weekend work at consumer shows is necessary.

Applicants must be ready to adapt to changing market conditions and company needs.

An eye for visual merchandising excellence and ability to implement/assemble displays when needed.

Engaging, energetic, and confident approach with a self-motivated attitude.

A valid driving license is required.
