Take Responsibility – The Position: Head of E-Commerce
As Head of E-Commerce, you will lead the global digital commerce strategy for Stokke across Stokke.com, marketplaces, and digital retail experience. You are responsible for delivering a seamless, emotionally resonant, and conversion-optimized shopping experience that elevates the Stokke brand, drives customer satisfaction, and delivers commercial growth.
You will blend strategy, execution, and team leadership to deliver excellence across all digital commerce touchpoints—owning the roadmap, channel performance, and long-term vision. This role reports to the Chief Digital Officer and is based in Amsterdam.
Key Responsibilities:
Global E-Commerce Strategy

Define and evolve the global digital commerce roadmap in line with Stokke’s brand and business objectives

Set and monitor KPIs across all e-commerce channels and regions

Identify digital growth opportunities through competitive and consumer insights

Align e-commerce strategy with executive and cross-functional business goals
Website Experience & Platform Leadership

Oversee end-to-end management of Stokke.com including personalization, content optimization, and localization

Ensure best-in-class UX across mobile and desktop platforms
-
Partner with IT and UX to manage technical roadmap, platform upgrades, and integrations
-
Monitor site performance and continuously optimize for speed, accessibility, and compliance
Customer Experience Optimization

Lead customer-centric digital journeys that reflect the emotional and functional needs of modern families

Reduce friction in customer interactions—from product discovery to checkout

Embed tools and processes that prioritize empathy, feedback, and iterative improvement
-
Champion a consistent tone, narrative, and visual identity across touchpoints
Marketplace & Omnichannel Integration

Oversee Stokke’s global marketplace presence and ensure brand consistency
-
Collaborate with retail teams to develop seamless omnichannel strategies

Develop digital programs that connect online and offline experiences (e.g., loyalty, in-store tech)

Optimize marketplace operations including conversion, returns, and customer support
Team Leadership & Collaboration

Recruit, manage, and mentor a high-performing team across e-commerce, marketplace, and CX functions
-
Set performance goals, provide coaching, and build a culture of ownership and innovation

Drive cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, IT, Product, and Customer Service
-
Promote agile ways of working and a test-and-learn culture
Agency & Partner Collaboration:

Lead digital agency relationships across UX, SEO/SEM, content, and media buying
-
Define scopes of work, KPIs, and strategic briefs with a clear focus on brand values and customer-first delivery

Act as key liaison between internal stakeholders and external partners

Evaluate partner performance, gather insights, and implement continuous improvements
Better Together - The Ideal Profile
Responsible for leading e-commerce, marketplace, and digital experience teams.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in E-Commerce, Digital Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience Required:

10+ years of experience in digital commerce or e-commerce leadership roles

Proven track record of owning digital strategies across DTC, marketplaces, and omnichannel commerce

Deep understanding of e-commerce platforms, UX, data analytics, and conversion optimization
-
Strong experience working with technical teams and digital partners
-
Experience leading and scaling high-performing digital teams in a premium consumer brand or lifestyle company
Special Requirements:

Fluent in English (written and verbal); additional languages are a plus

Excellent commercial acumen with a customer-first mindset

Demonstrated ability to lead through influence across cross-functional teams

Strong project management and vendor coordination skills

Experienced working in a global, multicultural environment
