Pursue Excellence – The Team
The Stokke sales team in Germany plays a vital role in expanding market presence, nurturing customer relationships, and promoting the brand. The team builds strong sales and distribution channels, trains retail staff, and implements impactful marketing initiatives.
By working closely with customer service, the team ensures an outstanding customer experience while also gathering market insights to inform strategy. Using tools like Salesforce for reporting and performance tracking, the team contributes directly to Stokke’s global success and ensures selective distribution standards are consistently upheld.
Take Responsibility – The Position
The Account Manager – Germany (South West) is responsible for building strong business relationships with retailers and ensuring Stokke’s premium product placement across the region. Reporting directly to the Head of Sales - DACH, this role is suited to someone with proven sales and retail experience who is ready for the next step in their career.
As Account Manager, you will drive sales growth, support retail partners, and elevate Stokke’s brand presence in-store. You will spend the majority of your time in the field visiting customers, ensuring execution, and acting as the face of Stokke in your region.
This role will require regular travel, 4 days on the road and with a minimum of 3 customer meetings per day. There maybe requirements to venture into Switzerland to support our Account Manager as back up, therefore a German, English and French speaking profile would be adventageous.
Based: Field-based, ideally located in South West Germany
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Distribution Development

Prioritize customers and develop sales growth plans for the region

Identify, evaluate, and activate trade partners in line with Stokke’s policies

Negotiate contracts and implement Stokke requirements with retailers

Ensure selective distribution standards are consistently upheld

Monitor stock levels, product presentation, and merchandising in-store

Allocate 4 days per week to customer visits, with 1 day dedicated to administration
Training & Coaching

Deliver impactful product and brand training to retail staff through coaching and workshops

Ensure sales teams are equipped with the knowledge and tools to succeed
Service & Support

Support efficient order transmission and processing in collaboration with customer service

Communicate procedures and routines to improve service levels

Partner with customer service to resolve issues and improve retailer satisfaction

Support the rollout of sales and marketing campaigns in-store
Reporting & Market Analysis

Plan and prepare store visits with an 8-week horizon

Use Salesforce to track performance, report activities, and follow best practices

Gather and share competitor insights, market trends, and customer feedback

You are a driven sales professional with strong retail experience and a commercial mindset. You thrive in competitive sales environments, are passionate about premium brands, and can balance strategic priorities with hands-on execution.

Commercial education; specialization not required
Experience Required

Experience growing distribution and sales for branded goods with proven results

Track record in training and motivating retail staff to deliver brand strategies

Experience working with both independent retailers and multiple retail chains

Ideally, experience with selective distribution of premium/up-market products

Strong knowledge of sales processes and customer service collaboration
Special Requirements

Fluent in German and English. An additional European language such as French would be adventageous

Proficient in Microsoft Office; Salesforce experience a plus

Flexible, mobile, and open to occasional weekend work at consumer shows (approx. 3–4 weekends/year)
