Take Responsibility – The Position: IT Operations Manager

As the IT Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, and security of Stokke’s global IT infrastructure. You will oversee internal IT operations, lead external service providers, and drive the delivery of high-quality, cost-efficient IT services.

This role is both strategic and operational — ensuring seamless daily IT performance while leading global projects that strengthen Stokke’s technology foundation. You will lead a high-performing IT team, foster collaboration across departments, and embed a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability.

This position is based in Ålesund, Norway, and reports directly to the IT Director.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Cloud Operations

  • Ensure global IT systems are secure, stable, and scalable to meet business needs.

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage changes to infrastructure and cloud environments within an Agile framework.

  • Oversee provisioning, deployment, monitoring, backup/restore, and identity management.

  • Implement and maintain compliance with IT security best practices and governance policies.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the internal IT operations team to build capability and engagement.

  • Allocate responsibilities based on strengths and development goals.

  • Foster collaboration, transparency, and continuous learning across the IT function.

  • Lead regular team meetings to ensure alignment and performance tracking.

End-User Support & Workplace Services

  • Oversee global standards for hardware, software, and client security management.

  • Continuously improve helpdesk performance, support workflows, and service response times.

  • Ensure knowledge sharing and up-to-date IT documentation across regions.

  • Enhance digital workplace experience to improve user productivity and satisfaction.

Project & Vendor Management

  • Lead key infrastructure, security, and workplace technology projects globally.

  • Serve as IT lead for cross-functional initiatives involving system or operations integration.

  • Manage vendor partnerships and ensure adherence to SLAs and service quality standards.

  • Evaluate new technologies and solutions to enhance operational performance.

Budget & KPI Management

  • Develop and manage the IT Operations budget in line with company priorities.

  • Track costs, identify optimization opportunities, and ensure efficient resource utilization.

  • Define, monitor, and report on KPIs related to infrastructure performance and user support.

Better Together – The Ideal Profile

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Proven leadership experience within IT infrastructure and global service operations.

  • Strong track record in project management and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Deep expertise in Microsoft technologies: Active Directory, Windows Server, Azure, Intune, SharePoint, Office 365, EMS.

  • Microsoft Azure certifications are a strong advantage.

  • Knowledge of ITIL frameworks, user support systems, and CIS Controls security standards.

  • Solid understanding of GDPR and data protection compliance.

Special Requirements

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with a strong service orientation.

  • Structured and methodical approach to managing priorities.

  • Ability to lead, motivate, and manage both internal teams and external partners.

  • Cost-conscious mindset with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement.

  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
