Take Responsibility – The Position

The IT Operations Lead ensures Stokke’s global IT infrastructure is reliable, secure, and user-centric. Leading by example, this role drives operational improvements, coordinates initiatives across teams and partners, and serves as the central point of contact for IT operations. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to keep systems running smoothly, safeguard our environment, and enable the business to achieve its goals worldwide.

This position is based in Alesund, Norway and reports to our IT Director 

Main Responsibilities

Engage with Vision & Passion

  • Champion a secure, compliant, and resilient IT environment across regions, reflecting best practices and Stokke’s standards.
  • Act as the operational voice of IT—connecting teams, clarifying priorities, and advocating for reliability and user experience.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within IT operations.

Strategize, Implement, Test & Learn

  • Take ownership of planning and coordinating updates to cloud and network systems (e.g., Azure, M365).
  • Lead efforts in system deployment, monitoring, backups, and user access lifecycle management.
  • Implement structured change processes and test-and-learn approaches to validate operational enhancements.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings to align goals, timelines, and deliverables.

Accuracy, Optimize & Automate

  • Set and maintain standards for hardware and software distribution—from provisioning to decommissioning.
  • Drive ongoing improvements in helpdesk services, ITSM workflows, and end-user support processes.
  • Ensure IT documentation is current, accessible, and consistent; cultivate knowledge sharing and SOP adherence.
  • Define and monitor KPIs for IT services, support expense tracking, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Collaborate & Report Like a Pro

  • Lead or coordinate projects related to infrastructure, security, and workplace technology, representing operations in cross-functional work.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, monitor SLAs, and manage escalations to ensure service excellence.
  • Communicate performance, risks, and opportunities through clear dashboards, reports, and stakeholder updates.

Experience Required

Education

  • Degree or relevant experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience & Skills

  • Hands-on experience in IT infrastructure or service operations within a multi-site/global context.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft technologies (e.g., Azure, M365) and identity/access best practices.
  • Understanding of IT security and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR) and industry standards.
  • Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented approach with the ability to influence without direct authority.

Special Requirements

  • Proven experience coordinating updates and deployments across cloud/network environments.
  • Experience leading helpdesk process improvements and establishing operational standards.
  • Vendor management with SLA oversight and performance tracking.
  • High attention to detail; commitment to documentation accuracy and KPI-driven reporting.
