Role Overview

The Country Manager is responsible for leading and growing the consumer brand’s business within the local market having a clear focus on DTC online business and is reporting to Head of Eastern Europe & Emerging Markets.

This includes leading the strategy and operations of the web channel with the goal of accelerating brand awareness and sales. In the position he will have full ownership of commercial performance, brand execution, business development, market expansion, and cross-functional leadership.

The role combines strategic planning with hands-on operational management to accelerate revenue, market share, and brand visibility.

Experience

  • 5+ years of commercial leadership experience in consumer goods, retail, consumer electronics, beauty, lifestyle, or similar categories.
  • Proven track record in business development, channel expansion, and key account management.
  • Demonstrated success managing P&L and scaling a brand in a competitive market.
  • Experience working in a matrix organization (regional/global).

  • Proficient PC skills (Microsoft Office, CRM tools, online research).
  • Strong personal organization and resilience, supported by a family situation that allows frequent travel.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Market & Commercial Leadership

  • Develop and execute the country strategy aligned with global and regional objectives.
  • Implement the DTC online strategy for the market, aligned with global and regional objectives.
  • Analyse digital positioning, define roadmap initiatives, and identify growth opportunities across the e‑commerce funnel.
  • Lead optimization projects for website and mobile customer experience.
  • Own the country P&L, ensuring delivery of revenue, profit, and market share targets.
  • Analyse market trends, consumer insights, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Oversee annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.

2. Business Development & Partnerships

  • Identify, negotiate, and secure new business opportunities across retail, e-commerce, distributors, and strategic channel partners.
  • Lead market expansion initiatives, including new product introductions and new route-to-market strategies.
  • Build strong relationships with key retailers, distributors, and potential strategic partners.
  • Evaluate and onboard new distributors or channel partners when needed.
  • Manage commercial negotiations to optimize pricing, margins, and trade terms.

 

3. Sales Management

  • Coordinate end‑to‑end e‑commerce operations: product catalog, digital merchandising, pricing, promotions, logistics, delivery, and customer service.
  • Improve operational processes by working closely with tech, supply chain, and finance teams.
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards (privacy, payment security, data protection).
  • Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to achieve targets.
  • Drive excellence in retail execution, channel management, and key account performance.
  • Ensure best-in-class activation in physical retail and online channels.

 

4. Marketing & Brand Execution

  • Collaborate with regional marketing teams to adapt global brand strategy to local market requirements.
  • Oversee campaign execution, local activations, influencer programs, and media planning to ensure strong brand presence.
  • Ensure consistency of brand identity and messaging across all channels and touchpoints.

 

5. Operations & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Ensure demand planning accuracy and inventory availability in collaboration with supply chain teams.
  • Manage local regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements.
  • Oversee operational efficiency, optimizing processes and cost structures.

 

6. Team Leadership & Culture

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Represent the company as a leader within the country.
