The Position
Parent & Child at the Heart
As Operations Specialist for Stokke Japan, you will play a critical role in ensuring families receive Stokke products reliably, efficiently, and on time. You will manage end‑to‑end supply operations across retail partners and Direct‑to‑Consumer channels—supporting a seamless experience for parents and children from order to delivery.
Your work directly impacts product availability, fulfillment accuracy, and operational excellence across all touchpoints in the Japanese market.
Agility, Speed & Execution
This is a highly operational, hands‑on role requiring strong ownership, analytical rigor, and executional excellence. You act as the operational link between Demand Planning, Logistics, eCommerce, Sales, Marketing, and Finance—managing fast‑moving supply flows while continuously improving forecasting accuracy, inventory health, and fulfillment performance.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments and enjoys driving clarity, structure, and results.
Main Responsibilities
Lead & Optimise Channel Supply Operations
- Oversee daily supply chain execution across offline retail, marketplace, and Stokke.com channels.
- Manage inbound shipments, inventory positioning, and fulfillment performance.
- Build and maintain replenishment models that balance in‑stock rates, warehouse capacity, and cash‑flow efficiency.
- Monitor and continuously improve key KPIs including fill rate, forecast accuracy, lead time, and order cycle time.
- Partner closely with 3PLs to ensure timely fulfillment, efficient reverse‑logistics handling, and high delivery standards.
Forecast, Inventory & Operations Alignment
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to align promotions, launches, and campaigns with demand forecasts.
- Use sales history, velocity trends, and marketing inputs to anticipate demand, prevent stockouts, and avoid overstock.
- Define and maintain channel‑specific safety stock levels, reorder points, and availability targets.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Quality Assurance
- Act as the primary operational contact for logistics partners, quality assurance teams, and external regulatory institutions to ensure all products sold in Japan meet local compliance requirements.
- Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to align inventory availability with promotional calendars and content launches.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across operational processes, quality standards, and partner performance.

Professional Foundation & Experience
- Strong academic foundation in Supply Chain Management and Quality Assurance, providing the framework to manage complex operational responsibilities.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience within supply chain, operations, or logistics roles.
- Proven experience working with or leading multicultural teams, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.
- Solid knowledge of quality analysis, planning, and continuous improvement tools.
- Experience working with imported premium products or brands.
- Familiarity with high‑end retail environments and the distribution of premium or luxury consumer goods.
- Strong command of the English Language, Mandarin would be a plus
- Exposure to regulatory compliance requirements for imported products in Japan.
