The Position

Parent & Child at the Heart

As Sourcing and Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing supplier sourcing and supplier relationships within a defined portfolio, primarily focused on textiles. You will ensure alignment with Stokke’s sourcing and product strategies while maintaining high standards across quality, sustainability, capacity, and cost.

You will play a key role in securing the ongoing performance of suppliers, sourcing and qualifying new partners, and supporting production ramp‑up activities. In addition, you will contribute to product development projects by providing production expertise and insights.

Based in Ålesund | Norway | Reporting to Strategic Production Manager

Agility, Speed & Execution

This is a highly operational and strategic role where you will manage a global supplier network, drive continuous improvements, and ensure production excellence. You will balance cost, quality, and risk while collaborating cross‑functionally with product development and sourcing teams. 

Main Responsibilities

Supplier Management & Sourcing

  • Manage and develop a global supplier network.
  • Source and qualify 1st and 2nd tier suppliers based on business needs.
  • Maintain and update supplier agreements.
  • Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.

Production & Quality Management

  • Ensure products meet Stokke specifications and quality requirements.
  • Oversee production capacity, risk management, and QA/QC processes.
  • Support production ramp-up for new suppliers.
  • Maintain documentation of supplier performance and follow‑ups.

Cost & Performance Optimisation

  • Manage cost calculations and purchase price negotiations.
  • Drive cost optimisation initiatives.
  • Contribute to forecasting and supply chain mapping activities. 

Project Management & Development

  • Lead or contribute to sourcing and production-related projects.
  • Support product development teams with production insights and methods.
  • Identify and explore new technologies within the textile domain.

Collaborative & Relationship-Driven: You build strong internal and external partnerships and communicate effectively across stakeholders.

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in supplier sourcing, production, or supplier management.
  • Strong procurement knowledge (negotiation, contracts, sourcing, forecasting, supply chain mapping).
  • Experience in project management; Lean or Six Sigma is a plus.
  • Technical education (BSc or Master’s), preferably in textiles or business administration.
  • Strong technical and commercial understanding, including budgeting and business case development. 
  • Experience with ERP systems, Power BI, and reporting tools is advantageous.
  • Fluent in English; Scandinavian or Mandarin is a plus.
