The Position

Parent & Child at the Heart
As Finance Business Partner – Commercial, you will support the commercial organization with strong financial control, clear performance insights, and data-driven decision support.

Acting as a trusted partner to commercial and regional leaders, you will play a key role in performance management, planning, and driving transparency across markets.

Based in Ålesund, Norway | Reporting to FP&A Director

 

Agility, Speed & Execution

This is a hands-on, analytical role with a strong controlling focus. You will work closely with regional finance and business teams, ensuring high-quality financial insights, accurate reporting, and continuous improvement in processes and performance tracking.

 

Main Responsibilities

Commercial Controlling & Performance Management

  • Own commercial controlling and monthly performance follow-up across regions.
  • Analyze sales, margin, and profitability versus budget, forecast, and prior year.
  • Explain deviations and highlight risks, gaps, and opportunities.

Business Partnering & Decision Support

  • Act as a finance partner to commercial and regional leaders.
  • Support decision-making with strong financial insights and business understanding.
  • Translate data into clear actions and recommendations.

Planning & Financial Analysis

  • Lead budget and forecast processes for the commercial area.
  • Drive analysis of gross-to-net, pricing, discounts, and cost-to-revenue.
  • Ensure key commercial drivers are reflected in reporting and planning models.

Projects & Continuous Improvement

  • Support business cases, ad hoc analyses, and strategic initiatives.
  • Drive improvements in reporting, planning, and controlling processes.
  • Collaborate with regional finance teams to ensure alignment, consistency, and data quality.

 

The Ideal Profile

Analytical & Structured: You are comfortable working with data and turning insights into clear business actions.

Collaborative & Business-Oriented: You build strong relationships and work closely with stakeholders to drive performance and results.

 

Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or similar.
  • 3–5 years of experience in controlling, FP&A, or business finance.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Ability to translate financial data into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Structured, proactive, and hands-on approach.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working in an international, fast-paced environment.
