Account Manager

This is a challenging role which will require the building of strong business relationships with the retailers and their teams of sales people. Furthermore, this role has a strong focus on digital sales and the Stokke presence in online shops of our customers.


Some of the key responsibilities are the following:

  • Implement the visions, philosophies, and strategies of the company, as well as being flexible, mobile, hardworking and dedicated
  • Achieve company sales targets through development of existing retailer database and new business opportunities in line with a selective distribution strategy and close co-ordination with the Area Sales Managers
  • Within the AM role you can expect to develop sales through independent retailers, national accounts and branch calls. Selling in new products, promotions and campaigns are daily tasks
  • Training of retailer sales staff in effective product demonstration, merchandising and basic selling skills
  • Shaping the retailer’s online presence to support sustainable and profitable growth, ensure excellent operations and evolve the digital distribution for Stokke products
  • Daily reporting & planning within a CRM system
  • Weekly travel within a designated geographical area (Baden-Württemberg and North-Switzerland) to meet buyers, stores owners / managers and take training sessions with store staff


  • A commercial education is typically required, ideally with a specialization within sales and/or account management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English
  • 2-3 years of experience from competitive sales cultures and with both small independent retailers and sophisticated multiple location retailers would be strong assets
  • Experience in working with online presences of retailers/customers
  • High affinity and understanding for e-commerce and the online customer experience
  • Tech-savvy
  • A domestic environment which allows travelling / staying away and occasional weekend work at consumer shows/ fairs is necessary
  • Valid driving license
