Account Manager Eastern Europe and Adriatic

This is a challenging role which will require the building of strong business relationships with the retailers and their teams of sales people, through merchandising, product and sales training, excellent account management and marketing initiatives implemented in close cooperation with the Regional Marketing Managers.


Main job responsibilities

  • Develop distribution and sales with specialty retail outlets as well as key accounts
  • Secure high quality selective distribution in accordance with Stokke’s distribution strategy
  • Develop sales with retailers through merchandising, product training, sales training and excellent account management
  • Develop Stokke brand & create demand in the region through various marketing / PR / internet / social media activities
  • Find, evaluate and activate relevant trade partners according to Stokke policies
  • Contract negotiations and implementation of Stokke’s requirements to retailers
  • Work with customer service to ensure the markets get the service they need
  • Prepare various reports on visits, sales, presentations and other relevant customer data for management and own use/preparation regularly and on request
  • Market analysis (competitors’ activities/strategies, macroeconomics)



  • Experience as a salesperson or key account manager with a good understanding of modern ways to build a brand in a retail environment
  • Ideally would have experience in motivating and training retail sales personnel and implementing company strategies in retail & online (E-Commerce) environments
  • Experience in guiding and supporting the customer service department to the benefit of the customers in regards to orders, complaints, logistics coordination and other relevant support functions
  • Experience with both small independent retailers and also with multiple location/national retailers
  • Fluent in Czech, Slovak and English. Hungarian, Slovenian, Croatian or other Slavic languages would be an advantage
  • A private situation which allows traveling / staying away and occasional weekend work (approx. 3-4 weekends per year)
  • Valid driving license
