Key Account Manager Netherlands

This is a challenging role which will require the building of strong business relationships with the retailers, key accounts, and their teams of salespeople, through merchandising, product and sales training, excellent account management and marketing initiatives implemented in close cooperation with the Regional Marketing team. 

Some of the key responsibilities are the following:

  • Develop distribution and sales with specialty retail outlets as well as key accounts
  • Find, evaluate, and activate relevant trade partners according to Stokke policies
  • Contract negotiations and implementation of Stokke’s requirements to retailers
  • Secure high quality selective distribution in accordance with Stokke’s distribution strategy
  • Develop sales with retailers through merchandising, product training, sales training, and excellent account management
  • Observation of business development (turnover, distribution, etc.) including initiatives and actions to be taken for steering the key account
  • Work with the Customer Service department to the benefit of customers in regards to orders, complains, logistics coordination and other relevant support functions
  • Analyzing merit reports and salesforce KPIs to steer the key accounts according to agreed strategy
  • Gather and share news on market and on competitor’s developments/activities and other relevant information helping Stokke to better understand the market, competitors, customers, and results


  • Commercial education, but no specific specialization required
  • Experience with developing distribution and sales for branded goods with excellent results
  • Experience with motivating and training retail sales personnel and implementing company strategies in retail environments
  • Ideally experience with both small independent and sophisticated multiple retailers
  • Familiarity with both traditional as well as digital retail channels
  • Fluent in English and the language of the country of responsibility
  • A private situation which allows traveling / staying away and occasional weekend work (approx. 3-4 weekends per year) 
  • Valid driving license
